Love Island viewers have claimed that contestant Munveer Jabbal is on the missing list after he was barely seen in the latest episode.
Thursday night’s instalment (on 6 June) focused on bombshell Uma Jammeh and the shockwaves she sent through the villa as she caught the eye of Ayo Odukoya, who had been getting close to Mimii Ngulube. There was also drama between Joey Essex and Samantha Kenny, because Essex also seemed to like newcomer Uma.
But amid all the tears as both blossoming relationships were rocked, some viewers were left wondering where Munveer had got to. The recruitment manager from Surrey was barely seen on screen during the instalment of the ITV show, leading to fans asking when he was going to get some air time.
What, how and why?
One posted a picture of Munveer on X, as they quipped: “MISSING - last seen Monday night on the launch show.” Someone else asked: “Wait where’s that other guy? There’s one missing - the short one.”
“Right WHY HAS MY MAN MUNVEER GONE MISSING,” another viewer posted. Somebody else wrote: “I need me some Munveer screentime, I’m sick of these triplet storylines.” "Where is Munveer?" posted one fan.
Another said: "Sorry but where was Munveer? I don’t even remember seeing him this episode."
Others complained that sightings of sweets salesman Sean Stone were just as scarce, with one saying the pair were "furniture at this point". "I’ve actually forgotten Sean and Munveer are in the villa, they’re radio silent," said another miffed viewer.
"Why are Sean and Munveer like, invisible so far," asked another baffled fan.
When Sean was spotted on screen, one person joked: "Jump scare seeing Sean on screen... Where’s he been?! Who’s he into??? I swear that was the first time we’ve heard him speak."
What else happened on Love Island?
Uma turned Essex's head after they shared a kiss as part of a challenge. The reality show regular later complimented the model on her looks and smelling "reem". "You’ve got lovely lips," he added.
Seeing him pay attention to someone else left Samantha in tears but Essex played it down as he said that he was open to getting to know other girls.
"The whole time I’ve been here, I’ve been very transparent," the Towie star said in a chat with the boys. "I’m keeping my options open and talking to everyone. Obviously, I’m coupled up with Samantha but this always happens. I’m really trying my best here to not dive in deep and it’s still happening.”
