Jonnie Irwin revealed he has had the "best fun" with the "very best people" as he shared pictures of his family holiday.

The A Place In The Sun presenter - who announced in November 2022 he has terminal lung cancer which has spread to his brain - has been enjoying the August sunshine with his wife and three sons at a four star hotel in Worcestershire.

Irwin shared a series photos of himself and his family hanging out by the swimming pool and sharing a meal with friends captioned: "The best weather, best fun and the very best people for a few days away."

Fans remarked how well the 49-year-old TV presenter was looking.

One commented: "Jonnie you are looking good."

Another said: "You're looking better Jonnie."

The Escape To The Country presenter was given six months by doctors to live back in 2020 when he received his diagnosis and has said doctors did not expect him to see 2023.

He recently told BBC's Morning Live: "I'm really good. I have up days and down days, but today's very much an up day. The family are great and very noisy."

He recently shared a post of himself cycling with all three of his sons in a trailer, even though he admitted to being "a lot weaker these days".

The Escape To The Country presenter was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2020 after his vision went blurry while away filming Channel 4 property show A Place In The Sun. But he kept his diagnosis a secret for two years.

Chemotherapy and cancer drugs have helped extend the initial prognosis and the TV presenter is determined to make the most of any time he has left with his family.

In July Irwin revealed that he has been receiving palliative care for the past three years, insisting that hospice care did not have to mean "doom and gloom".

Irwin attended the TRIC Awards in June and said: "I wanted to show that because you have cancer it doesn't mean you are a different person.

“You can still work. Look at me now. I don't think the doctors were expecting me to make 2023 but here I am and I'm available at work."
