Star Wars Episode VII: Carrie Fisher Loves Being 'Arthritic Leia' While Mark Hamill Is 'Knocked Out' By Cast

Star Wars mania is still raging as the cast continue to tweet about their involvement in JJ Abrams' new movie, Episode VII, and now Carrie Fisher has revealed that she's loves playing an older version of Princess Leia.

The 57-year-old, who will be reprising her role as Leia in the new movie, has tweeted about the new side of former pin-up Leia.

"Love being vintage Leia & arthritic Leia," she wrote last night. "Love from the forceful Leia of old & the wise, arthritic Leia of new."

Carrie has been enjoying the London nightlife since her arrival, having been pictured at the Chiltern Firehouse on several occasions this week and having a laugh with Ruby Wax and pal Graham Norton.

Meanwhile, Mark Hamill has given us a taste of what's to come from the new cast in Abrams' new movie.

Hamill is set to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in the movie, alongside original cast members Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as well as as Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew, who will be stepping back into their roles as R2-D2, C3-Po and Chewbacca.

It's the newcomers that have got everyone most excited though with Brit actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Domhnall Gleeson joined by Girls star Adam Driver. Oscar Isaac, the star of the 2014 Coen Brothers movie Inside Llweyn Davis is also in the cast along with CGI whizz  Andy Serkis and Hollywood veteran Max Von Sydow.

Mark has tweeted his excitement after taking part in the first round of table reads at Pinewood studios with the cast this week. Tweeting from the iconic UK studios, Mark told his Twitter followers that the new cast are more than a match for the Star Wars veterans.

"UK table read- I was knocked out by the diverse & extraordinarily talented new cast members," he wrote. "WOW they're good! The saga is in superb hands", the actor tweeted.
