Nike and PlayStation have teamed up to deliver the trainers of every gamer's dreams – and it's all thanks to NBA All-Star Paul George.

Marking Paul's second collaboration with Nike, the PG-2 'PlayStation' Colorway delivers a signature shoe that was inspired by the PS console's DualShock 4 controller and the iconic PlayStation symbols.

Featuring light-up tongues bearing the PlayStation and PG logos, as well as buttons inside the tongues that let you turn the lights on or off, this is one shoe that definitely has gaming appeal.

"Just like basketball, I've had a knack for video games since I was a kid," Paul said in his introduction to the new design.

"When I was 8 or 9, I used to amaze my uncle and all his friends by consistently beating them in all the sports games we'd play. And if I saw something cool while I was playing, I'd go outside and try it out on the court or the field. So in a way, sports and video games were always feeding off one another to me."

Among the other notable features of the trainer are a pulse mode where the lights flicker and vibrate – just like the console, iconic PlayStation symbols embossed in patent leather on each shoe, and even a unique barcode on the back heel that contains a PSN voucher code for a Paul George Dynamic Theme, which can be redeemed at the PlayStation Store.
