Noel Gallagher has taken yet another swipe at Lewis Capaldi, comparing Scotland to a "third world country" and describing him as "f***ing Chewbacca."

In an interview with Variety, the Oasis singer - whose wife Sara MacDonald is from Edinburgh - urged Capaldi to "enjoy his 15 minutes."

"I don't know. The youth of today: f***ing moronic c***s, if you ask me. I meet young people, and they're so culturally lost at the moment. All they can do, young people, is take pictures of each other. Because there's nothing else."

Unsurprisingly, it looks like Capaldi is taking Gallagher's recent comments about his appearance on the chin.

After quotes from the piece began circulating online, he changed his profile picture on Twitter to an image of him as the Star Warscharacter Chewbacca. He also changed his name to "Chewis Capaldi".

Gallagher has been publicly 'feuding' with the chart-topping Someone You Loved hitmaker since he called him an "idiot" in an interview with Radio X back in June.

In response to his confession, Capaldi played the sound clip during his Glastonbury set a couple of weeks ago, before unzipping his coat to reveal he was wearing a T-shirt with Gallagher's face inside a red love heart on it during his performance.

Later, he posed with Gallagher's brother Liam - who he's known to have a complicated relationship with - for a photograph.

Capaldi also joked that being mocked by the Champagne Supernova writer was "a dream come true".

"It's the greatest day of his f***ing life so far," Gallagher continued, addressing Capaldi in his sit-down with the publication. "Well, I know you're Scottish and all that, but f***ing hell!

"It is like a third world country, but for f***'s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely!"

Capaldi poked fun at the pair's ongoing spat again at Barn On The Farm festival in Gloucester on Sunday 8 July.

As he encouraged the crowd to sing along with his rendition of Don't Look Back in Anger, the 22-year-old shouted: "This is for my dad, Noel Gallagher!"
