Noel Gallagher has candidly opened up about his past drug use and the dramatic effects cocaine had on his health.

Speaking on Matt Morgan's Funny How? podcast, the Oasis guitarist shared that during the height of his use he was taking the drug every day as he described 1995 to 1998 as his "crazy years".

Noel addressed if there was ever a point where he thought he was going to die, as the 52-year-old shared: "I had a few really f*****g brutal, aggressive panic attacks which is why I quit."

"If you're having a panic attack and you've not been up for a couple of nights doing loads of drugs you can pretty much talk yourself round, 'it's fatigue blah blah blah’ and all that but if you've been up for three nights doing loads of gear, you're not talking yourself down off any ledge there mate, you think you're going to die," he went on.

Noel also shared a story of having to check into hospital in Detroit while suffering psychosis as a result of the drugs, although staff struggled to understand what was wrong with him due to his accent.

The musician recently found himself the target of his brother Liam's frustrations once again after he released a lost Oasis demo and his sibling was disappointed to learn he wasn't featured on it.

Liam dubbed his elder brother a "tofu boy" in his response when he discovered it was Noel singing on "Don't Stop..." instead of him.

The pair have shared a notoriously difficult relationship since Oasis disbanded in 2009, often engaging in public wars of words.
