Do not approach wanted Bristol man with distinctive hand tattoo

Members of the public are being warned not to approach a Bristol man wanted by police. Matthew Ellis, 28, is suspected of having breached his licence conditions and Avon and Somerset Police officers searching for him.

Ellis is described as white and about 5ft 8ins tall. He has short dark hair and several tattoos on his left arm, according to Avon and Somerset Police.

On his right hand, he has a distinctive tattoo of a clock face. Ellis has links to the Sea Mills and Hornsea areas of Bristol.

Anybody who sees Ellis is being asked to call 999 giving the call handler reference number 5224146417, rather than approach him. Other information can be reported via the non-emergency 101 number.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "Have you seen Matthew Ellis? The 28-year-old is wanted on recall to prison and is suspected of breaching his licence conditions. He has links to the Horfield and Sea Mills areas of Bristol. If you see him, call us immediately and give reference 5224146417 to the call handler."
