Swedish forward Julian Larsson has left Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old has departed the City Ground to join Burton Albion, having failed to make the breakthrough with the Reds, who he joined in 2020 from Allsvenskan side AIK.

He scored a total of 16 goals in 43 Premier League 2 appearances for Forest, but did not make a first-team appearance in the Premier League.

On signing for the Brewers, Larsson said: "I'm very excited to be here and to be a part of this and I can't wait to get started.

"For me as a player I want to develop and I feel this is the perfect setup for me, a very good level and a club that has very high ambitions.

"The facilities are great here and the club have such big ambitions, so It'll be a good move for me.”

Burton sporting director Bendik Hareide said: “We are pleased to welcome Julian as the latest member of our squad. He is a promising young player with great potential, which aligns well with our strategy. We are confident he will be a positive addition, particularly with his speed and athleticism, and look forward to seeing his contribution on the field.”
