Arne Slot would see his Liverpool squad bolstered significantly by the additions of Jamal Musiala and Adrien Rabiot.

At Euro 2024, both players have impressed for Germany and France, respectively, with links to Anfield emerging as a result. With the summer transfer window now having been open for over one week, speculation around different players and their futures is rife.

Interest in a number of players has understandably been reported, but nothing has reached an advanced stage yet. But two names linked have been Rabiot and Musiala. And with that in mind, the Echo has taken a look at what Liverpool's starting XI could look like if they sign both players this summer.

Alisson

Even though he has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, Alisson is expected to remain Liverpool's No.1 with the 31-year-old about to enter his seventh season at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Like Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been linked with a move to Real Madrid; however, he is also likely to stay and will no doubt be a major part of Slot's plans.

Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool's captain, Virgil van Dijk, remains a crucial part of the defence and is another player who is expected to be a key part of Slot's plans.

Ibrahima Konate

Though Jarell Quansah impressed in his breakout season, Ibrahima Konate is currently the best partner for Van Dijk. The Frenchman is at Euro 2024 and is an international team-mate of Rabiot's.

Andy Robertson

Injuries plagued Andy Robertson's 2023/24 campaign, but he is still a top full-back. Reports claiming the Reds are looking for a new left-back are therefore a surprise, especially with Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas able to fill in if needed. Despite those two impressing in patches, Robertson is first-choice for the position.

Alexis Mac Allister

Though he has only been at the club for 12 months, Alexis Mac Allister is Liverpool's most important midfielder. Capable of playing in a number of roles, the World Cup winner has been partnered by several different stars, with the Reds always finding more joy with him on the pitch.

Adrien Rabiot

A new midfield partner for Mac Allister could be on the way, with Liverpool enquiring about the possibility of signing Adrien Rabiot. The Juventus star sees his contract expire this summer, and a move to the Premier League could finally arrive as a result.

Mohamed Salah

Like many other Liverpool players, Mohamed Salah has been touted as one who could depart. However, he looks set to stay on Merseyside for another season and will remain the club's No.1 forward.

Jamal Musiala

If Liverpool pull off the addition of Jamal Musiala, it could go down as the transfer of the summer. Bayern Munich's huge asking price could make it a very difficult deal to negotiate, but the Germany international looks keen on a return to England.

Luis Diaz

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Luis Diaz, but there is no indication he will actually leave the club this summer. The Colombian's displays, particularly in the second half of the season, mean he deserves to keep his place in the starting XI, though Cody Gakpo will be on hand to come in if his performance levels drop.

Diogo Jota

Darwin Nunez will have to settle for a place on the bench if Diogo Jota is fit and available. Injuries saw the Portugal international make just 21 Premier League appearances, yet he still managed to score 10 goals and pick up three assists.
