After travelling from New York to London, Milan and Paris for Fashion Week AW18, the fashion set headed to Disneyland, but not for a well deserved break - instead, for Opening Ceremony's latest fashion show instalment.

Back in February, the New York brand announced that it was taking its love for nostalgic cartoon characters to new heights, by staging its SS18 show at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.

Designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leonwho are known for breaking with tradition when it comes to fashion shows, however Disneyland was definitely a new feat.

Not only was it a massive milestone for the brand, who are only the second ever hold a fashion show at the theme park in its 53-year-history (the first was staged in 1978), but also for Disney, who are currently celebrating Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary.

Unsurprisingly, the unisex collection paid homage to the loveable character, as a plethora of mouse-adorned hoodies, jeans, dresses and jackets took to the runway in Toontown.

The latest collection also managed to put a contemporary spin on some of Disney's most recognisable graphics as Opening Ceremony mixed cartoons with streetwear silhouettes.

From shoulder pads resembling mouse ears to floor-sweeping gowns and Kim Kardashian-approved biker shorts, Opening Ceremony certainly gave the kids' brand back some style and street cred.

From the 90s Buffalo boots on the model's feet to Mickey and Minnie taking centre stage during the finale, the show really was a happy ever after.
