Skinner, 54, opened up about the relationship during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine, saying: “It's a lovely little life surprise.
“It's a lovely thing."
Both Skinner and Dennis have previously been married.
The actress tied the knot with director Charles Palmer and they had two sons together, while Dennis was married twice and has a son and a daughter.
Dennis, 57, first spilled the beans about finding love with Skinner last year.
He told the Mail on Sunday: “I am very, very happy, we are so very happy. It's nice and yes, it's so lovely."
A source told the paper at the time that it was “the most wonderful love story”, adding: “They found one another at the right time in their lives and it’s all rather sweet.”

Skinner recently told The Times that the pair dated for a year before anybody realised.
She said: “People said to us that someone will notice soon but I kept telling them, ‘’We’re both over 50. Why would anyone be interested in that?’”
Outnumbered followed the Brockmans and their hectic lives raising their three children - Jake (Tyger Drew-Honey), Ben (Daniel Roche) and Karen (Ramona Marquez)
The critically acclaimed sitcom aired for five series between 2007 and 2014 and returned for a Christmas special in 2016.
It also racked up several accolades, including British Comedy Awards and a National Television Award.
