Pair arrested after doorstep parcel theft released

Two people arrested in connection with a parcel theft in a town have been released.

Officers were alerted to the incident in East Street in Sudbury on Friday.

A parcel that had been left by a delivery driver was allegedly stolen from a doorstep by a man and a woman.

The pair were later arrested in Gregory Street.

A spokesman for Suffolk police has confirmed the pair have been released with no further action.

The parcel was later located and returned.
