Pedestrian injured in car crash as Tiverton road closed by police

A pedestrian has been injured in a crash with a car in Tiverton this morning, Thursday, July 4. Emergency services were called to West Exe South at around 8.35am and the street was shut to traffic.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a crash took place between a male pedestrian and a car. Officers closed the road as the injured party was treated by paramedics.

His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. At the time of writing (11.10am), West Exe South remains closed.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 8.35am today, 4 July, following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in West Exe South, Tiverton. The male pedestrian is being treated by ambulance.

"Injuries are not described as life-changing or threatening at this time. The road is blocked and closed by police."
