Penn State Campus Covered in Snow as Winter Storm Hits Pennsylvania

A winter storm was forecast for parts of Pennsylvania on January 16-17, with “emergencies, delays and closures” in Centre County.

Justin Hassel, a meteorology student at Penn State University, filmed campus landmarks covered in snow on January 16.

A winter storm warning was to remain in effect to noon on Monday, the National Weather Service said.

Local media reported that schools and some health centers in State College were closed on Monday. Teaching at the university had been suspended due to Martin Luther King Jr Day but other on-campus work and activities were also cancelled. Credit: Justin Hassel via Storyful
