Pensioner's wallet and cash stolen, then used fraudulently after overnight burglary

A PENSIONER from Somerset has had his wallet and money stolen from his home during an overnight burglary.

The burglary took place at his home in Frome, in The Butts area, and happened sometime overnight between Sunday, May 12 and the following morning.

The victim, a man in his seventies, found his bank cards were then used fraudulently at shops in Frome during the early hours of Monday, May 13.

Avon and Somerset Police have since issued CCTV images of the man they want to identify in connection with their investigation into the aforementioned burglary and fraud offences.

A spokesperson said: "The man in the images, who we want to speak to, is described as white, of slim build, and wearing a black coat, trousers, trainers, and cap.
