Peter Andre baby name finally announced as Emily shares gorgeous photo update

Peter Andre's wife Emily MacDonagh has announced the gorgeous name of the couple's baby girl, nearly one month after giving birth. The Mysterious Girl hitmaker and doctor have documented their struggle in settling on a moniker for the little one but have finally made a decision.

Sharing sweet photos of their daughter, Emily told her 578k followers they'd chosen the name Arabella for their newborn. She wrote: "It’s taken a while but after lots of deliberation we’ve finally decided. Arabella Rose Andréa."

She added: "It’s taken a while but after lots of deliberation we’ve finally decided."

Emily was flooded with support over the announcement, as one fan wrote: "Beautiful," and a second said: "Stunning name."

The couple had previously admitted they were struggling to settle on a name, with Peter revealing they had instead been calling her "Bubba," while they made their decision. Last month the singer told his 1.9 million followers that both Athena and Charlie were in the running.

He said: "Athena is also in the running. Not sure how Ems feels about it but I LOVE it." He also responded to another fan and said: "Charlotte is also in the running. I like Charlie."

The name suggestions came after Peter told his fans they were still struggling to decide on a name as the deadline to register loomed. In a video of him cradling the tot last month, he said: "The love I have for our baby is one thing. The love I have for Emily is another love altogether.

"What an incredible mum she is and what a truly beautiful gift she has given us. We all love bubba so much. And she STILL has no name." Peter also told us in a WalesOnline exclusive that he liked the Welsh name, Seren.

Upon being presented with a series of Welsh names, Peter was enthusiastic. After the name Seren was suggested, which means ‘star’ in Welsh, he said: “I love that!”

Peter, who is proud dad to Amelia, 10, and seven-year-old Theo with Emily, as well as Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price, welcomed his fifth child Arabella on Tuesday, April 2.
