Peter Andre Postpones Gigs For Sick Brother

Peter Andre has postponed the remaining 2012 dates of his Up Close & Personal Tour after his elder brother's health worsened.

The singer's brother Andrew, 54, is reportedly in a London hospital being treated for cancer and family members are said to be flying from Australia to be with him.

The cancellation of his Saturday night gig at Liverpool Arena was announced on Andre's website.

The Aussie heart-throb, who has two children with former wife Katie Price, gave interviews in late summer saying his brother was responding well to treatment.

But now Andre, 39, is said to be "in bits" over his brother's illness and is sure his fans will understand his decision.

A statement on his website said the change was made "with great regret" and the dates are rescheduled for late January.

It added: "His brother Andrew's health has taken a turn for the worse and Peter has made the decision to be with him and his family at this time.

"Fortunately it has been possible to reschedule the five remaining 2012 dates on the Up Close & Personal Tour to take place following his pre-existing shows in January 2013."

Original tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates and ticket holders requiring a refund are asked to contact the point of purchase.
