When Robbie Williams pulled out of judging the Let It Shine final last night (February 23) and Peter Kay was announced as his replacement, we knew we were in for a treat.

And it didn't even take five minutes for Peter to arrange for the greatest thing we never knew we wanted to see to happen: Honey G arrived.

Well, not the real one, but it certainly could have been – as Peter was honestly a dead ringer for the X Factor star in a tracksuit, baseball cap and trademark sunnies.

It just goes to show that last year's theories that Honey G was actually Peter Kay in disguise could have actually been true.

And it's especially fitting that Peter dressed in such a way while stepping in for Robbie Williams as guest judge as the singer admitted to being one of Honey G's many fans during her time on The X Factor last year.

So, with the best possible outfit in place and after hugging everyone and high-fiving as many of the audience as he could, Peter eventually took his seat to kick off what we'd soon know would become one of the best guest judging spots we've seen on Saturday night television.

"I'm standing in for Robbie, who's hurt his back, but he'll be back singing and dancing later," Peter opened, but it wasn't long before he started confusing his time on Let It Shine with some other popular TV shows too.

"Where's my golden buzzer?" he asked after one performance in a major hint to Britain's Got Talent. "Get it pressed."

He also didn't leave tonight's rival primetime show Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway out either.

"Brilliant, that, boys," he told another act. "Worth missing Ant and Dec for, that. Good thing I've got it on series link!"

And he couldn't leave The X Factor out after he turned up dressed as one of its stars.

"It's gone to deadlock," he announced once all the band's had performed and he couldn't pick a winner.

Here's what everyone had to say:

Let it Shine airs on BBC One.
