Photographer Treated to Rare Sighting of Elusive Everglades Mink
The elusive Everglades mink made a rare appearance on camera and in broad daylight for a lucky photographer at Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park in Copeland, Florida, recently.
The mink, which is classified as a state-threatened species by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, was recorded by photographer Kymberly Clark.
Clark told Storyful that the sighting was such a “special experience” because minks are known for being highly elusive.
Clark shared the video on Instagram, writing, “They are rarely seen during the day because they hunt at night.” Credit: @kym_clark via Storyful
