Piers Morgan: ‘Frank Lampard Was Very Tearful When He Gave His Wedding Speech’

It was the wedding of the year and everyone who is anyone seemed to be at Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley’s wedding yesterday afternoon.

Now all of the gossip is slowly coming out, and guest, Piers Morgan, couldn’t help but lift the lid on his pal’s big day during this morning’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ with co-host, Susana Reid.

Frank and Christine tied the know at St. Paul’s church in London’s Knightsbridge and the reception was held at the very swanky members-only venue, The Arts Club, nearby.

Giving all of the juicy details, Piers shared this morning: “Frank was very tearful in his speech. It was very moving.”

“I said a few words [at the wedding], I offered to because I was there when they met at the Pride of Britain Awards with Frank and Kevin Pietersen.

“Christine came into the bar and Frank said, ‘Who’s that? She looks a bit of a sort’, which I think is East End for 'She’s attractive.’ I said, 'She’s way above your league mate.’

“Anyway, next thing, they get together, he said in his speech, he was away playing for England and they spoke every night for four hours and just fell madly in love in one week.”

Piers attended the wedding with his wife, Celia Walden, and other famous guests included Philip Schofield, Kelly Hoppen, Ant and Dec, John Terry, and the Redknapp family.

We can’t wait to find out even more details from the big day.
