Pink brought everyone in the O2 arena to their feet with an epic show-closing set at the Brit Awards – but telly viewers were mainly impressed that she avoided going up in flames!

The singer was the guest of honour during Wednesday's ceremony (February 20) to collect the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, and later took her hit single 'Just Like Fire' extremely literally in an explosive performance.

Pink started her extended medley by literally gliding down from the roof of the O2 on a hoop as pyrotechnic flames were shot in her direction. Have a look below:

Because the singer was wearing a red feathery costume, viewers were instantly nervous that a rogue flame was going to catch her boa and set the whole thing ablaze.

Morbid much, people?! Jeez...

We're pleased to announce that Pink survived her Brits performance unscathed, and that's probably because viewers were fooled by a bit of visual trickery.

Even though it looked like Pink was right next to the flames, that's probably only because of the framing used by the ITV cameras. She was likely actually several inches away and never in any danger.

Luckily, there was also rain incorporated in her medley of hits 'Just Give Me a Reason', 'Try' and 'What About Us', so that could have been deployed in the event of any emergency too! Phew…

Jack Whitehall hosted the Brit Awards 2019 from the O2 arena live on ITV, and managed to tick off Little Mix fans for the second year running for relentlessly mocking the girl group to their faces.
