The Women's March on Washington-a protest march in DC and other major US cities planned for the day after Donald Trump's inauguration-started as a loosely organized event on Facebook. Now Gloria Steinem and Harry Belafonte have signed on as honorary co-chairs, BuzzFeed reports, and the Planned Parenthood Federation of America has signed on as one of the event's 70+ partners, alongside the NAACP, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and Amnesty International.

Both Steinem and Belafonte are known for their activism on behalf of minority groups, and their participation will increase the cause's awareness. "I am proud to be one of thousands who will come to Washington to make clear that we will keep working for a democracy in which we are linked as human beings, not ranked by race or gender or class or any other label," Steinem said in a statement, The Cut reports. "We will send a strong message to the incoming administration that millions of people across this country are prepared to fight attacks on reproductive health care, abortion services, and access to Planned Parenthood, as they intersect with the rights of young people, people of color, immigrants, and people of all faiths, backgrounds, and incomes," Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards said in a statement.

The event's Facebook page already has over 156,000 RSVPs and 239,000 who are interested.
