Plans have been lodged with the Isle of Wight Council, to demolish buildings on Embankment Road in Bembridge and replace them with dwellings, workshops and storage.

An objection has already been lodged by Bembridge Parish Council, which says it believes the development is disproportionate in size and scale, compared to the surrounding area.

Another commenter calls for more pedestrian access, if the plans are given the go-ahead.
