Plymouth pub showing England vs Serbia Euros on huge TV screen

If you haven't yet made plans to watch England's opening Euros 2024 match against Serbia tonight, Eighteen87 in Plymouth is showing the action on a giant, 5x5-metre screen.

The family-run pub, on the banks of the River Plym, has joined with Plymouth's brand-new sports venue, FanParks, to ensure that footie fans don't miss a minute of this summer's Euros tournament.

FanParks, set up by three Plymouth locals to create a unique viewing experience for sports fans in the city, opened its doors for the first time on Friday, for the tournament's opening match in which Germany beat Scotland 5-1.

The exciting new venue, which has partnered with Eighteen87, will be showing all 51 Euros matches on a huge LED screen, and will feature a family zone complete with games and face painting, as well as serving up street food to enhance the experience.

There will also be a large marquee set up if fans need to shelter from the elements, where they can enjoy the matches across five additional flat-screen TVs.

And ahead of the England game tonight, the venue has also decorated by hanging the "biggest flag in Plymouth" - an England flag measuring 55ft x 25ft.

Jordan Turfrey, landlord of Eighteen87, said: "It all looks really good down here - we've got the biggest flag in Plymouth hanging up on the marquee, which looks great. It's filling up nicely at FanParks, so fingers crossed we'll have a full house tonight for the match.

"We're really happy to have FanParks starting up at Eighteen87, as we've got such a nice space for it here."
