Police issue update on man arrested after early-morning street stabbing

A MAN who was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following a stabbing on a Bradford street has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A cordon was put in place on Broadstone Way, Holme Wood, after the stabbing just after 4.15am on Friday.

Police were called to the scene at 4.16am and found two men with leg injuries.

They were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

This morning, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "The 33-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries."

In its initial statement, the force said: "At 4.16am, Friday police were contacted by the ambulance service to reports a male had been stabbed in the leg on Broadstone Way.

"Officers attended to find two men with leg injuries.

"Both have since been discharged from hospital.

"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID."
