Police and Protesters Clash for Fourth Night in Los Angeles

Protesters clashed with sheriff’s deputies on September 8, as they gathered for a fourth night near the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station to demand justice in the police shooting of Dijon Kizzee.

Police declared an unlawful assembly at approximately 8 pm, the Los Angeles Times said, before using non-lethal rounds to scatter the crowd.

Lt Glenn Emery told the Los Angeles Times that objects including pipes and pieces of concrete were thrown at deputies. Seventeen arrests were made, he said.
