Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to after reports of an attack in an Iceland supermarket.

The incident reportedly happened in the store on Bury Old Road in north Manchester on Tuesday afternoon (June 11). Police said officers were called following a report of a common assault and a shoplifting incident at around 1.40pm.

In an appeal issued yesterday (June 12), officers shared a photo of a man they now want to speak to about what happened. Anyone who recognises him - or who has any information - is being urged to get in touch.

Police said in a post on the GMP Manchester North Facebook page: "#APPEAL | We want to speak to this individual following a common assault and shoplifting in an Iceland store on Bury Old Road, #Manchester on 11/06/2024 at around 1:40pm."
