Police have issued pictures of a man they want to speak to after a report of upskirting outside a bar on a busy street in Manchester city centre.

The incident was alleged to have happened on Peter Street - which is lined with bars and restaurants - on Saturday, October 14. It was reported to Greater Manchester Police last month after a video was posted online.

Officers said the victim was reportedly 'upskirted' - which means images or videos were taken up their clothing without consent. The incident was 'blatant breach of privacy and dignity', police added.

The force today released two images of a man they want to identify. Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information, is being urged to get in touch.

GMP's PC Melissa Walker-Byrne said: "This incident is a blatant breach of the victim’s privacy and dignity. It is also a clear example of predatory behaviour, which we are working hard with partners and licensed venues in the city centre to tackle.

"There is no circumstance where it is appropriate to upskirt someone without their knowledge and I’m calling on the public to help us identify who is responsible."

Information can be reported to GMP on 101 quoting log 2720 of 21 April 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
