Stormy Daniels says she was threatened to stay silent about alleged affair with Donald Trump
Donald Trump has condemned ‘so much fake news’ after fresh claims he had sex with a porn star who was subsequently warned to remain silent about their alleged sexual encounter.
Stormy Daniels said she was threatened by an unidentified man in Las Vegas to keep quiet about the alleged relationship with Trump. She said the incident happened while she was with her young daughter.
In the interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Daniels said the affair consisted of one instance of consensual sex with the future president.
Daniels told 60 Minutes interviewer Anderson Cooper that the man told her to “leave Trump alone — forget the story.”
She told Cooper that the man looked at her daughter and said, “That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.”
Although Mr Trump has failed to respond directly to the claims, he took to Twitter to rail against the latest onslaught of ‘fake news’ about him. It seems likely he was talking about the Daniels claims.
So much Fake News. Never been more voluminous or more inaccurate. But through it all, our country is doing great!

The adult film actress provided little new evidence of her alleged 2006 affair with Trump but said she faced intimidation tactics aimed at ensuring her silence in 2011.

When asked what President Trump would think if he were watching the interview, Daniels said, “He knows I’m telling the truth.”
In the interview, Daniels described the sexual encounter as beginning with Trump talking about himself and showing her a magazine with his picture on the cover.
She said she asked, “Does this … normally work for you?
“I was like, ‘Someone should take that magazine and spank you with it,'” she added.
Daniels said that before they had sex, Trump had broached the idea of her being a contestant on The Apprentice.
When asked if Trump mentioned his wife, Melania, or newborn baby during the alleged fling, Daniels responded, “He brushed it aside, said, ‘Oh yeah, yeah, you know, don’t worry about that. We don’t even — we have separate rooms and stuff.'”
Asked why she was talking now, Daniels said, “Because it was very important to me to be able to defend myself.”
Though she said she was fine saying nothing at all, Daniels added, “I’m not OK with being made out to be a liar or people thinking that I did this for money and people are like, ‘Oh, you’re an opportunist. You’re taking advantage of this.’
Yes, I’m getting more job offers now, but tell me one person who would turn down a job offer making more than they’ve been making, doing the same thing that they’ve always done?”
Daniels received a $130,000 payment days before the 2016 presidential election for her silence but has sought to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement.
The White House did not immediately comment on the interview, but Trump has previously denied the allegations through his spokespeople.
Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, has said his client never had an affair with Daniels and that Cohen paid the “hush money” out of his own pocket.
Cohen has said neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction and that he was not reimbursed for the payment.
The lawyer representing Stormy Daniels has declined to specify additional evidence he claims he has of his client’s alleged affair.
Speaking after Ms Daniels’ interview, Michael Avenatti insisted there is more evidence to come, but that he and Ms Daniels are withholding certain details, including the contents of a CD or DVD he tweeted a picture of last week.
“We’re not going to get into the details of everything we have at this time, and there’s a reason for that,” he said on NBC’s Today show.
“We understand the American people want all the information right now, immediately. It would make no sense for us to play our hand as to this issue and we’re not going to do it right now.”
