Post Fire Burns Close to Interstate in Southern California

A growing wildfire in north Los Angeles County was seen burning near Interstate 5 on Sunday, June 16, as evacuation orders were in place for nearby areas.

The blaze, called the Post Fire, was reported just before 2 pm on Saturday, and had burned over 14,000 acres by Sunday night, with 2 percent containment.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department issued evacuation orders for “areas west of Interstate 5 between Pyramid Lake and Gorman, including the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area.”
