Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence has shared a health update about his wife Princess Anne as is on a gradual path to recovery. He visited her at a hospital in Bristol after she was injured while walking on her estate on Sunday evening.

After leaving the main Brunel building at Southmead Hospital shortly before 2pm, having spent two-and-a-half hours with his wife, Sir Tim provided an update. When questioned about whether Anne would be discharged on Wednesday, he responded: "She'll be out when she's ready".

The Princess was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening following an incident believed to involve horses at Gatcombe Park estate, which resulted in injuries and concussion, reports the Mirror.

It is believed the skilled horsewoman suffered minor injuries to her head and a concussion. Although the exact cause of the injuries is unconfirmed, Anne's medical team have said her head injuries are consistent with a potential impact from a horse's head or legs, reports Sky News.

Emergency services and an air ambulance attended, and she was treated at the scene. The princess was transferred to Southmead Hospital by road for tests, treatment and observation.

Anne married former Royal Navy officer Sir Tim, her second husband, in a low-key ceremony in 1992.
