A cleaner has shared her number one product for banishing limescale from bathrooms. Limescale, or calcium carbonate, is a hard, crusty deposit that ranges in colour from white to even a grim shade of green.

It is often found on surfaces and appliances that come into frequent contact with water including kettles and shower screens. It is even more common in homes with hard water.

Dina, who works as a professional cleaner, has taken to TikTok to share her tips on getting rid of it for good. She said: "Do you have hard limescale on your shower doors? Let me show you the best product that works wonders.

"Please use a mask, eye goggles and gloves when using this." Showing fellow TikTok users the state of the shower screen before cleaning, it was completely full of limescale.

Dina explained that she gets asked how to clean shower limescale “so many times” and what she uses is HG Scale Away spray, The Express reports. HG Scale Away limescale remover can be picked up from B&Q for £6.50 or from Robert Dyas for £7.49.

She explained: “This product is absolutely the best. Quick and easy. So what I usually do is spray it, scrub it down and leave it for five minutes.”

If you still see some limescale left behind after, the cleaner recommends repeating the process and “it will give you the results you’re looking for”.

Showing the camera the after results and the shower screen was spotless and streak-free. Dina said: “Now just look at the bathroom [screen] shining.”

Cleaning fans in the comment section were very impressed by the results. @hamptonhousekeeping commented: “Looks amazing. I use Viakal, but this looks just as good, if not better. Will have to try it.”
