Protesters Hold 'Queer Dance Party' Near Mike Pence's DC Home

A protest event billed as a “Queer Dance Party” was held outside the Washington home of US Vice President-elect Mike Pence on January 18.

Those in attendance danced, and chanted, “Daddy Pence, come dance.”

The event was partially organized by WERK for Peace, “a queer-based grassroots movement that uses dance to promote peace,” according to its Facebook profile.

During the protest, Firas Nasr, an organizer with WERK for Peace seen dancing on a car in this video, outlined plans for a protest on Friday, January 20, the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration as president.

“On Friday, in the morning, we will be participating –- again, WERK for peace and Disrupt J20 will be coming together again –- to do a ‘Qockblock’ brigade.”
