Puppies Found Buried Alive on Spanish Farm Reunited With Mother

Six German shepherd puppies were found buried alive by members of Spain’s Guardia Civil, the agency said on August 20. The dogs were reunited with their mother, and two people were arrested on charges of animal cruelty.

According to El Comercio, citing the Guardia Civil, the six puppies were found on a farm in the Lower Aragon region by officers acting on a tip-off from a member of the public.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found two adult dogs, one male, and one female.

The female showed signs that she had recently given birth and grew agitated when Civil Guard agents approached her with the puppies, El Comercio said.
