QPR fixtures for Championship 2018-19 season: Full schedule with dates

Queens Park Rangers will face a trip to Preston North End on the opening day of the Championship season, as newly appointed Steve McClaren looks to take the club back into promotion contention.

The west Londoners parted company with Ian Holloway following a 16th place finish last season, with McClaren, who worked at Loftus Road alongside Harry Redknapp for a short time, brought in to aim higher.

The former England and Derby manager, however, will face a tough start with Sheffield United, West Brom and Bristol City all coming up following the visit to Preston.

Their run in, too, is far from a walk in the park with a visit from Swansea before games against Blackburn, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.

Before the new season, McClaren will get a chance to cast his eye over his new squad when they jet off to Portugal for pre-season training in the coming weeks.
