Are these bizarre 'facts' about the UK true or false?

‘We don’t take ourselves as seriously as other countries do,’ said Dame Joan Collins of being British.

Britain always seems to have more than its fair share of quirky stories and strange facts - from weird laws about shooting Scotsmen with arrows on a Sunday to odd tales about the Royal Family.

But how well do you REALLY know Britain and all its strange customs, weird historical titbits and silly-sounding facts?

This multiple-choice quiz presents you with 15 bizarre ‘facts’ about Britain, and challenges you to pick out the real facts from the lies.

It starts off fairly easy, with some whopping falsehoods which anyone should be able to pick out - and some basic general knowledge facts.

But hang in there and the questions get much tougher, with some ‘facts’ that couldn’t POSSIBLY be true… or could they?
