Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Taylor Swift were among the huge stars to perform at the BBC's Biggest Weekend festival in Swansea.

Thousands of revellers let their hair down in Singleton Park in the sweltering bank holiday heat as they enjoyed the star-studded line-up.

Ora, 27, paid tribute to DJ Avicii as she performed their song Lonely Together at the event on Sunday.

The Swedish DJ, known for his club anthems including Wake Me Up and Levels, died at the age of 28 in Oman in April.

As Ora performed in a stunning monochrome outfit, the words "Avicii 1989 - 2018" flashed on the screen behind her.

"Thank you," she told the audience as the track ended.

"Thank you for singing that with me.

"It's always hard for me to sing that, so thank you so much for singing along."

Meanwhile, Swift raced thorough a short set of just six songs including smash-hits Gorgeous and Blank Space.

"You're not just singing along but you're screaming along... which is the best," she told the crowd at one point.

"It kind of took my breath away a little bit when I first came out here."
