Rangers transfer news bulletin as Rrahmani sets sleuths’ tongues wagging and Mourinho closes door on Kent

Rapid Bucharest sporting director Daniel Sandu admits the Romanian side have received “good offers” for Rangers target Albion Rrahmani – with the striker spotted following a GLASGOW restaurant on social media.

The Kosovan was absent as Neil Lennon put his Bucharest players through training on Tuesday, but Sandu insisted he would be back on Wednesday with his omission said to be pre-arranged after he came off the bench in a 3-0 defeat to Norway. Sandu said: “Rrahmani will be at training tomorrow. I don’t know if he’s leaving. The transfer window opens in June. It lasts until September. It’s time for all kinds of moves. I expect more players from Rapid to leave. There are good offers for (Rrahmani).”

Rangers are said to be in talks over a £5 million move for the 23-year-old and to add another layer of mystery to the proposed transfer, one Rangers fan sharing the fact Rrahmani has joined a string of current and ex Rangers players following Glasgow West End eatery Pulp.

Philippe Clement has got down to work early this summer and Clinton Nsiala was signed from AC Milan on Monday with the defender following Jefte and Oscar Cortes.

Meanwhile, new Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho has closed the door on ex Rangers man Ryan Kent being part of his plans going forward – with the citing his refusal to go on loan. Mourinho said: "I do not want to work with a player profile who does not go on loan and does not play here for half a season."
