Jackson co-starred with Dyer in the 2009 crime capper movie Dead Man Running and revealed in an interview with the Daily Star that he has always admired Dyer’s British gangster movie roles.
“I’ve watched most of the big UK crime and gangster movies, going back to Lock Stock and Snatch, Layer Cake, and the more recent ones my boy Danny has been in,” Jackson said.
He even added that he would be happy to help Dyer’s Love Island winner daughter out in trying to crack Hollywood as an actress.
“If his daughter wants any help with breaking into Hollywood she got it. Danny is a good friend of mine and it would be no problem helping his little girl out,” he said.
In addition to her newfound Love Island fame, 22-year-old Dani is indeed an aspiring actress. She has had small roles in several of her dad’s movies, including Vendetta and Age of Kill.
Jackson is of course not only a hugely successful rapper with his hits ‘In Da Club’ and ‘Candy Shop’ but he also starred in and executive produced the Starz gangster drama Power – which to date has had six seasons.
However he has also been in the headlines for the last few years for his surprisingly serious money woes. In 2016, he was ordered to pay a staggering $23.4 million (£17.8 million) in his bankruptcy case. But all is not lost, as he also just signed a multi-series new deal with Starz this October – worth up to an estimated $150 million (£114 million).
