The worlds of a Northumberland filmed drama and a much talked about Netflix smash have collided, as an actor from Baby Reindeer is also in the cast of The Red King, which airs its second episode on Wednesday night.
The most watched series on Netflix for the last two weeks, Baby Reindeer has become THE binge watch hit of 2024, with people across the world hooked on the real life experiences of comedian Richard Gadd and his relationship with stalker Martha. One of the last episodes of the show sees Martha widen her net of obsession to include Richard's 'character' Donny's family, with his on screen dad Gerald played by Mark Lewis Jones.
And, as more and more viewers become thoroughly invested in Baby Reindeer, Mark is also in screen in The Red King, the thriller filmed in the likes of Craster, Alnwick and Cambois last summer. HIs new TV alias Gruffudd Prosser was in plenty of scenes when the drama made its debut on Alibi last week, with Gruffudd being very hostile to lead character, Grace Narayan.

The copper, Vigil and Bodyguard star Anjli Mohindra, is sent the tiny fictional island of St. Jory as she tries to get to the bottom of the unsolved case of missing teenager Cai, having to navigate the strange and unwelcoming locals and their connection to a cult as she searches for answers. And one of those far from friendly locals is definitely Gruffudd, who she ended up tearing a strip off as they clash in the pub.
Given the mystery surrounding Gruffudd and what he might know about the missing teen, viewers are predicting that Mark will continue to be at the centre of The Red King action going forward.
