Restaurant loved by celebs that became best in Liverpool

Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett and Molly "Meatball" McCann revealed their favourite spot to eat in the world is right here in Merseyside.

The self-made athletes have gone from humble beginnings to become two of the world's biggest UFC stars. Despite their globe-trotting activities, they confirmed to the ECHO a local restaurant is still top of their list, with Paddy describing the food as "orgasmic."

If you're searching for the "best chicken wings and ham hock" around, Furusato Bar & Grill is the celebrity go-to. The restaurant serves up a range of Pan-Asian dishes including Korean cauliflower bites, Thai Penang chicken curry, spiced potato bonda and coconut tarka dahl. The menu also features steaks, truffle fries, a range of cocktails and a small plates section.

The restaurant rose through the ranks of TripAdvisor last year to become the number one venue in Liverpool - although technically it is outside the city, within the boundaries of Sefton.

Among the 300 five-star reviews, one person wrote: “Fantastic. Unbelievable food can’t argue with the price should see for yourself. Drinks are to die for and different every week.”

A second person wrote: “Best restaurant around - our regular. This is our favourite restaurant around and we come here when we get the chance to as we live close by too. The food is absolutely amazing, definitely recommend the chicken wings and strawberry sangria. Service is always really friendly and we love the atmosphere and the staff. Cannot recommend this place enough.”

Another added: “Sensational food and service. 10/10 food and service. Manager Dan was amazing, helpful and friendly. Lovely vibe in the gaff as well. Would definitely recommend.”
