Rita Ora and Taika Waititi walked arm-in-arm as they made their red carpet debut together at The Suicide Squad premiere.

It’s the pair's first public appearance as a couple after it was claimed they had begun dating earlier this year around March time, according to The Sun.

They posed for photos together as they arrived at the event held at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday 2 August.

It’s been said the singer grew close to the director while she was filming for The Voice Australia and based in Sydney, where Waititi was shooting Thor: Love and Thunder.

The couple previously made headlines when they were both snapped kissing actor Tessa Thompson during a lunch in Sydney.

Waititi later addressed the buzz caused by the photos, stating he was “doing nothing wrong”.

Asked by the Sydney Morning Herald if the images upset him he replied: “Not really. I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick.

"And also, 'is it that big a deal?' No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It's fine."

Waititi separated from New Zealand filmmaker Chelsea Winstanley in early 2021 after ten years of marriage. They share two children together.
