A road has been closed after a car hit a wall in Chorley.

Police have closed the A6 Preston Road in Clayton-le-Woods following reports of a road traffic collision. The road is closed in both directions, from Fiddlers Lane to Bank Lane.

LancsLive understands the collision involved a car colliding with a wall and only one vehicle was involved.

Police are asking members of the public to avoid the area where possible.

The incident is ongoing and updates will be provided once the scene has been cleared.
