An east Suffolk road is closed after a car left the road before crashing into a tree.

Emergency services were called to Sparrowhawk Road in Upper Holton, near Halesworth, at about 9am on Monday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said a car left the road and collided with a tree.

Firefighters are also at the scene and are currently working to rescue the driver of the car.

The extent of any injuries is not yet clear but the ambulance service has been called.
