Yahoo News All the roads in Rochdale set to be repaired this year
A full list of the roads due for repair in 2024 has been released by Rochdale Council - costing just over £3.7m.
Data obtained from Freedom of Information requests reveals Rochdale Council has more than 80 roadworks planned. Over the next financial year which runs from April 2024 to March 2025 it aims to spend £3,725,813.87 maintaining roads, the FOI data states.
Works include road resurfacing, footway reconstruction and micro asphalt surfacing.

The council state on their website that they carry out roadworks as part of the essential repair and improvement of the boroughs roads. Public utility companies can also carry out roadworks to maintain essential gas, water, electricity and phone services.
Some of these works may require the use of temporary traffic lights or temporary road closures. A map of all the current roadworks can be found on the council website.
A spokesperson for Rochdale Council said: “The council plans to continue maintaining its highway network as efficiently as possible using the available funding from central government and council investment.”
