Romanians Form Giant Romanian Flag Outside Government Building Demanding New Leadership

Anti-corruption protests in Romania continued for a 13th consecutive day on Sunday, February 12, at Victory Square in Bucharest, the capital.

Thousands of protesters gathered to demand a new government despite the Social Democrat-led government’s withdrawal of its controversial proposal to decriminalize several political corruption offenses. The protesters formed a large Romanian flag by holding up red, yellow and blue pieces of paper overhead.
