Rooftop siege suspect arrested after major incident in Scots town

A man has been arrested and charged after a roof top siege in a Scots town.

Cops were alerted to the incident at Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy at around 6:20pm on Saturday, May 25.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged and is now due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Footage from the scene shows the man on top of a property, gesticulating and throwing objects.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.20pm on Saturday, 25 May, 2024 we were called to a report of a disturbance on Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended. There were no reports of serious injuries.

“A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He’s due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, 27 May, 2024.”
