Ross Kemp Sends Fans Into Meltdown After Sharing Photo Of Top Secret EastEnders Script

He’s not even got back to The Square yet, but Ross Kemp has already been giving die-hard EastEnders fans borderline apoplexy after sharing a snap of his latest script.

Sending fans into a literal frenzy last night, the actor – who’ll be returning to our screens as East End hardman Grant Mitchell later this year – posted this snap, which confirmed that work is already underway for Ross’ return to E20.

STOP TEASING US ROSS, OUR HEARTS CAN’T TAKE IT.

It comes after the actor hinted that his EastEnders’ persona, Grant Mitchell, might end up having a bit of a showdown with lovable Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, played by Danny Dyer.

Dyer Vs. Kemp? We have no idea how this one might end…

The 51-year-old hardman is returning to the BBC soap to bid farewell to his onscreen mother, Peggy Mitchell [Barbara Windsor], and has admitted that he’s keen to utilise his time on Albert Square as much as possible.

Speaking on Radio 1, Ross explained: “It will be good to see Danny, I know Danny sort of socially, not that well. It will be interesting. We should have a tear-up though shouldn’t we really?”

When asked if the writers had already warned him that this is going to happen, the actor teased: “You’ll have to wait and see. We don’t know yet, I’ll see. I’m sure something will happen, there’s no point in me going back and not utilising myself is there really?

He also confessed that he probably wouldn’t have returned had it not been for the badgering of Dame Babs.

The actor – who’s definitely in our top ten ‘Quite Fit But We’re Not Exactly Sure Why’ category - said that the Queen of The Vic practically put a gun to his head and basically made him return.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “We met for dinner with my wife and her husband Scott, and she didn’t put a gun to my head but she may as well have done.

“Have you tried saying no to Dame Barbara Windsor? It is not easy. She asked me face to face in the restaurant. I had no idea it was coming. She’s clever and so is Scott. They knew what they were doing.”
