Ryan Reynolds Takes His 'Vasectomy Cocktail' Up a Notch 'Because Somehow I Keep Having Kids' — Watch

The Aviation American Gin founder and father of four is back with his Vasectomy Cocktail, which he’s promotes around Father’s Day

Ryan Reynolds is back at it with his Vasectomy Cocktail — and this time, he hopes it works.

In a new cheeky spot for the actor’s Aviation American Gin, Reynolds makes a special version of his signature Vasectomy Cocktail, which he’s promoted for Father’s Day the last few years.

“It’s Father’s Day and because somehow I keep having kids, this year we’re going to take our annual Vasectomy up a notch with Aviation Gin: Deadpool Edition,” he begins the video, referencing his Marvel franchise.

Reynolds, who shares four children with his wife Blake Lively —  Betty, 4, Ines, 7, and James, 9, and a one-year-old (whose name has not been revealed) — demonstrated how to make the satirical cocktail.

“First, you’re going to take an ice-filled glass and you’re going to add 1 ounce of cranberry juice. Then, you’re going to add 3 ounces of tonic,” he says. He then looks at the glass and says, “Oh that’s Betty Buzz. I wonder what other surprises are in store” referring to his wife’s own bubbly drink brand.

“Next you’re going to grab this little yellow guy and you’re going to give it a squeeze,” he said about a lemon.

The calm tutorial splices back and forth to fight scenes from Deadpool & Wolverine (in theaters July 26) with Reynolds’s costar and friend, Hugh Jackman.

“If you get a couple of seeds in there, well, you know you’re doing it right,” he joked and then whispered to the lemon, “How many kids do you have?”

Then it was time to add 1½ ounces of a specially designed bottle of Aviation American Gin: Deadpool Edition. “It’s the same delicious Aviation Gin, but with 100% more Deadpool,” Reynolds quips.

He gives it one final stir with a long cocktail spoon and then garnishes it with a twisty lemon peel.

“And there you go, Deadpool Vasectomy. Pairs perfectly with two dads over 40, pretending they’re not too arthritic to pull off a superhero movie,” he jokes.

The video closes out with a scene of the two dads in question — Reynolds and Jackman — battling it out in their upcoming film. “Happy Father’s Day, everyone,” he says.

For die-hard Deadpool fans, the gin brand is offering six specialty Deadpool bottles while supplies last at retailers nationwide for $25.

In 2022, The Proposal star mixed up the Vasectomy Cocktail with Nick Cannon, who has fathered 12 kids. At the time of the video, he only had eight.

"Lord knows I need one," Cannon quipped about the procedure, before making the drink.

All along, the Wild 'n Out star teased about the joys of parenting, including all the "full night's sleep" he's getting.

"And that looks like a delicious Vasectomy," he declared at the end of the hilarious process before Reynolds stepped into frame for a sip.

"While delicious, the Aviation Vasectomy is clearly not yet 100% effective," he jokingly warned, adding the hashtag, "#HappyFathersDay."

In 2023,  Jessie James Decker teamed up for another take on "The Vasectomy.” She’s since welcomed her fourth child with husband Eric Decker.

Jessie mixed the ingredients together for her husband as Reynolds later cut into the frame, snagged the bottle of gin and said, “You know those don’t actually work, right?"

"Don't listen to him — they work," Jessie whispered to her other half.
