She said: “He loved both Oklahoma and LA. He made his home here as an actor, but he never forgot his roots in Oklahoma. He remained a fan of the Sooner Nation.”

Born on 20 July, 1936, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Grant served in the US Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. He began acting in the late 1980s.

He went on to appear in shows such as Breaking Bad, Community and Veep. Grant also made appearances in films including The Lone Ranger and The World’s Fastest Indian.

Grant was also active in the Native American veterans community and participated for years in the National Gathering of American Indian Veterans.

A memorial for Grant will be held in the Los Angeles area, but details haven’t yet been confirmed.
